You are required to watch 1complete performance of any of the music we discuss in this course. I recommend watching previously recorded concerts on YouTube that last for at least 60 minutes in duration. This will give you more to talk about in your report. This report will be turned in twice. The first submission will receive feedback from me and suggestions on how to improve your report.

Requirements for the paper are as follows:

  • Papers should be two pages in length. 4-5 Full pages of writing!
  • Standard margins
  • Standard 12 pt. font
  • Double spacing will be used.
  • If it is a YouTube concert, supply me with the link.
  • Your first submission is due on Thursday, March 7thby 11:59pm and the second is due on Thursday, May 9th by 11:59pm.
  • You can submit the report on EAGLE.

Successful reports will include a narrative of the event. Please use musical terms/elements of music that we have used in class. Describe your emotional reactions to the concert, then try to logically figure out why you felt a certain way. Comparisons to other pieces/works/composers/performers is also expected in the paper. Please add a description of the performance. More details can be found on EAGLE.
