you will write a one-page media release that is “newsworthy” and focuses on a topic related to childhood nutrition, aged 5-12 years, in Australia. You will take a theoretical understanding of media releases and nutrition education in general, as well as use your knowledge of the public health nutrition principles/philosophies/concepts, to help you complete this task. The media release should refer to evidence-based practice, current nutritional epidemiology, and/or nutritional interventions. You will also need to consider your intentions for writing the media release, for example, public health advocacy, reporting on new evidence, or raising awareness of a nutrition-related program, policy or evaluation.
As a media release, this must be written as a persuasive text and not as a nutrition education resource. It is important that the media release communicates the public health significance of the topic selected and clearly identifies the target audience (i.e. who do you want this message to reach for example parents, decision makers, industry).
Please be in mind that it has to be a real source and not a created scenario. It as to have APA7 referencing, images, and tables if necessary.

Two pages – media release (1st page); reference list (2nd page).
Reference list is not included in the overall word count.
