On the “Get Better Faster” DVD, you have the Get Better Faster Scope and Sequence in a printer friendly version and it is also located in the book on Pages XXXI to XXXVI.
If you were using the Scope and Sequence before the school year begins, you would read the Phase 1 Coaching Blueprint and start from the top-the first Phase 1 action step on Pages 84 to 106 for the Management Trajectory or Pages 107-127 of the Rigor Trajectory. (These case studies are occurring since school began so you would not use the Phase One materials
If you are using the Scope and Sequence at any other point in the year when school is in session, identify the teacher’s action step based on the classroom observation, go the appropriate phase and read the coaching blueprint in that same phase, jump to the rigor or management section (depending on your action step) and go to the page that matches your teacher’ struggle.
Management Trajectory 2 is Pages 145-180 and Rigor Trajectory is Pages 181-221
Management Trajectory 3 is Pages 236-274 and Rigor Trajectory is Pages 275-299
Management Trajectory 4 is Pages 308-316 and Rigor Trajectory is Pages 317-345
Directions for the Assignment:
You will choose the appropriate action step from the scope and sequence and identify the management or rigor trajectory issue that matches the teacher struggle.
