3- to 4-page new employee onboarding guide for the grocery store you selected. In your guide:
- Identify the primary milestones and activities for the first 180 days of employment. Consider listing the activities and events according to which period these activities occur, such as before the first day of work, the first day, the first 30 days, etc. Explain what happens in each activity, who is responsible for leading the activity with the employee, and why they are important to the onboarding process.
- List what training must be completed during the onboarding process. Identify the methods of training, such as job shadowing, computer-based training, coaching, etc. Explain which learning goals are met by each training, how completion of the training will be tracked, and how effectiveness will be evaluated. Remember to consider which training is required for all employees and which training may be specific to different departments within the store. For example, all employees may require safety training but not all employees will require training for proper handling of prepared food, such as employees working in the deli or bakery.
- Explain how you will evaluate the effectiveness of the onboarding process and the training included in the process. Include how AI can be used to support employee onboarding and training and evaluating the effectiveness of the process.
