Thesis statement is:  Through progressive revelation, Jesus is revealed as the fulfillment of Old Testament Covenants, reaching the climax of his revelation in establishing the New Covenant.

I need an outline for the following thesis statement focusing on Jesus and the Biblical Covenants of:

  1. Noahic Covenant: Found in Genesis 9, God makes a covenant with Noah and all living creatures, promising never again to destroy the earth with a flood. The sign of this covenant is the rainbow.

  2. Abrahamic Covenant: This covenant, found in Genesis 12, 15, and 17, includes promises of land, descendants, and blessings. God promises to make Abraham the father of a great nation and to bless all nations through him. The sign of this covenant is circumcision.

  3. Mosaic Covenant: Established at Mount Sinai in Exodus 19-24, this covenant was made between God and the people of Israel through Moses. It includes the giving of the Ten Commandments and the Law, as well as promises of blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience.

  4. Davidic Covenant: Found in 2 Samuel 7 and reaffirmed in Psalm 89, God promises to establish David’s dynasty forever, with one of his descendants ruling on the throne of Israel. This covenant anticipates the coming of the Messiah, who will reign as the eternal king.

  5. New Covenant: Foretold by the prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, this covenant promises forgiveness of sins, a new heart, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ establishes this covenant through his death and resurrection, inaugurating a new era of salvation for all who believe in him. The sign of this covenant is the blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of sins.
