three-part signature assignment is for you to demonstrate an
understanding of the variety of tests and assessments in use in the
field of psychology and under what conditions one is more appropriate
than another. You
will analyze and apply knowledge regarding
psychological testing and assessment to real-life situations that you
will encounter in your professional career. You will develop mastery of
testing and assessment terminology, categories,
ethical considerations, faith integration, and
critical analysis of testing choices, as well as a nuanced perspective
toward the diversity of human beings with regard to culturally-sensitive
testing and assessment choices and protocols.

- Identify the focused issue you would like to study. You can choose from many
different areas according to your career aspirations (i.e. depression in

- Include the rationale for the selection of this choice, using scholarly literature
for support.

studied. - Literature Review
- Conduct a literature search for a psychological research study on a test or
assessment that is on your focused issue. - Identified Psychological Instrument #1-3 (These headings will each be labeled in
accordance to your identified psychological instruments. For instance, one heading for
this section of the paper may be Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory II). - Research 3 specific, additional psychological instruments in the scholarly
literature related to assessing the selected problem. - Analysis
- Provide an analysis of the reasons that each is a good choice for assessment
and/or testing. - Include at least 2 methodologically rigorous reasons why each assessment is
appropriate. For instance, you could discuss the validation of the instrument
with your population or across populations, or reliability of the instrument
among users. - Conclusion
- You should include a“Conclusion” heading and formally end your paper with
this section.
