- One Play Experience Plan Download Play Experience Plan (PEP} aligned with your Study Topic (GARDEN) and based on the subject areas listed below
- For each selected subject area, you will provide at least (1) skills, competencies, knowledge from NAEYC Standard 5a pg 20.
- For each selected subject area, you will provide at least (1) teaching strategies from NAEYC Standard 5b, starting on page 21, you will use during the play experience
- Each PEP will demonstrate the integrated nature of the play experience by including three standards from three different sections/colors of the PA Pre-K Standards. The Pre-K Standards you select must align with the (3) subject areas you selected.
- Using the Pre-K Standards you selected, you will write (1) behavioral learning objective for each Standard.
- You will add a Pre-K Social and Emotional Standard and an Approaches to Learning Standard in the Reflection section of the Plan that aligns with this play experience. Consider what social and or emotional skills children need to practice during this small group experience. Consider what Approaches to Learning children would use during the Play Experience.
- Using Miss Quisha’s Classroom, you will identify how you will adapt the PEP for the children in the classroom
- Use the Authentic Assessment Toolbox to guide your Assessment Plan.
- Review the website on types of observations to assist in your Assessment Plan.
- Respond to each prompt with specific details, ensuring you are meeting the needs of individual children in Miss Quisha’s class.
- This lesson will integrate three of the following, all aligned with your Study (GARDEN).
- Music or Dramatic Play
- Social Studies
- Gross Motor/Physical Education
