Instructions
Use Explore: CQ Researcher to find a published
problem description (Located in the Learn Items for Module 3: Week 3). Access
to the CQ Research is housed in the Jerry Falwell Library. A Liberty University
log-in is required.
Select a published problem description available in
the CQ Researcher that was published in the past five years in one of the
following categories:
· Education
· Employment and
Labor
· Government
Functions
· Law and Justice
· U.S. Supreme Court
and Judicial System
After selecting a published problem description, apply
the standards for problem description discussed in the Smith text (Chapters 2
& 3). (You will be working with the selected problem description throughout
the rest of the course. Pick a topic of interest to you that you have not
written about in a previous course.)
Applying these standards, discuss whether the published
problem description answers basic questions. Explain whether the description is
useful to the intended audience. Also discuss whether the problem description is
written clearly. Finally, provide at least two tips to improve the provided
problem description.
The title of the published problem description must be
provided in the assignment.

title page, abstract, and reference page are excluded from the page count.
· Format of
assignment: APA
· Number of citations:
2-3 citations from the class readings (Module 2: Week 2; Module 3: Week 3;
and/or Appendix); 1 citation to Scripture; and 2 citations from outside
academic resources, including at least 1 citation from the CQ Researcher.
· Acceptable sources:
Scripture, class readings, class presentations, and scholarly articles
published within the last five years
