Final Presentation
Due: Saturday, 5/11
via Canvas by 10:00 pm.
No late final presentations will be accepted
in order for me to have sufficient time to grade each student’s presentation
and to finalize grades.
Points Possible: 35
points
Goal: You will create
a PowerPoint lesson* on the cultural landscape of a selected country (the same
one you selected for the midterm project).
*You may use other programs such as Google Slides, Canva,
etc. but you must upload your file as a PowerPoint presentation or a PDF. No
hyperlinks will be accepted.
Guidelines:
·
Present information on the history,
politics, economy, religion, and culture (food, art, music, etc.) of the
country.
·
Your presentation must be 20-25
slides long (not including the works cited and title slide)
·
The slides should be a mix of text,
images, graphs, and internet resources.
·
Your
slides need to include at least 10 relevant concepts or terms from the
textbook. All concepts need to be underlined. You may use concepts from
any of the Chapters that we read this semester.
·
This assignment
is meant to be open-ended to allow you to select any 10 concepts you wish
except those concepts you used for the midterm. Please select new concepts to
use for your final presentation.
·
There are sample presentations from
past students located in the “Final Presentation” module on Canvas.
·
I will be using a Grading Rubric to
score all final presentations. The Grading Rubric for the final presentation is
located in the “resources” module on Canvas. Final presentations are reviewed based
on the following criteria: written component, content, quantity, and writing
style and grammar. See rubric for specific point breakdowns.
