Including Sources

Find 4 sources
(that’s 1 more source than you found for the Argument Essay Annotated
Bibliography). At least 1 source should come from the library
databases. You may find all of the sources in the databases if you
wish. If you find sources on the open web, make sure they come from credible
places.

The 4 sources will be
the ones you also use in your Anthology:

Mode Section 3:

Choose
sources that are relevant to these various sections of your Anthology. Note that it’s possible to use a
source in more than one section of the Anthology, but the Anthology should
still use 4 sources overall.

Citing Sources
·
After finding, reading,
and taking notes on your sources, set up a file in APA page format.
·
Cite your sources
according to APA format (as if you were listing the source on a references
page). Make sure they are listed alphabetically by author name or by
title if the source doesn’t give an author name.

Format pages to help you create the correct page format and
citations.

If you have difficulty
citing your sources, consult the ask me or the librarians for help.
Annotating Sources
·
Under each APA-style
citation, write a paragraph that includes the following:
o
At least a 2-sentence
summary of the source.
o
At least a 2-sentence
discussion of the source’s validity:
§ What makes the source credible?
(Consider the author’s credentials, the reputation of the website or
magazine/newspaper/journal publishing the source, and/or the quality of the
information in the source).
§ What makes the source relevant?
(Explain how it will support/develop the part of the Anthology in which it will
appear.)
