Hello,
Please help. I need a professional letter written explaining the concerns that I have inregars to the Lead Instructor runnign the cohort at this particular time.
I have listed various thoughts that completly need to be rearranged and rewritten. I need this letter to be as professional as possible.
The goal is to make admin aware that the students concerns are legitamet and that it is not only the few that have shared their letter but more in the cohort but are scared to express their concenrs as they are afraid of not passikng the program.
This is a surgical tech apprenticeship program. These students will be in the operating room. PLEASE HELP

1. Students have expressed they do not want to be in the classroom without another instructor present.
2. Students have approached the instructor to ask questions and do not get an answer, they are talked to in a negative manner, and their questions are dismissed.
It has gotten to the point for most of the students, they have stopped asking questions to the instructor, as they do not want to get spoken to in a demeaning manner.
3. As there are a few students that have expressed their concerns to Vicki, the others are afraid to rock the boat. They are afraid that if they do so, the Lead instructor will not pass tht through the class.
4. It is not about likeing the instructor, it is about respect. Students have lost respect for the Lead Instructor, as they feel they are not being respected when they are talk to in a intimitating manner.
5. The attmosphere in the class room has gotten thicker and thicker as each week passes and you are able to cut it with a knife.
Since she has taken lead with the 1st cohort, things have excellerated.
The students of the first cohort expressed the concerns over her behaviors and attitude towards them throughout their time in the program.
When trying to speak with Jennifer about this during the first cohort, that meeting never was had. We both suggested to have final evaluations sent to the students, so they could express their thier true thoughts about thier time in the program.
I do believe that sending them evaluatoins now, may give you an insite to what had conspired during the first cohort.
In regards to this current cohort, I do believe midterm evaluations that are anonamous
should be sent out immediately so that the students can express their true thoughts without felling fear that they will get reprimanded by not bieng able to finish the program.
In doing so, you as administrators can have a better idea of what has be occuring and make more appropiate decion on how to handle what has been going on.
In general, I do my best to support the students in every which way I can as all of you know me. A positive learning enviroment is essential for any students success.
They will be dealing with stressor in the OR when they get to their clinicals and when they are on orientation. They should leave each class each week thrilled with thieir progress and want to come back thrilled for another day of class the next week.
In all the years that I have been teaching and leading this type of program in various colleges and programs, I have only encountered this type of inconsistent enviroment and attituede once. In that situation, the situation was rectified in less than two weeks as the students all united and expressed the concerns through each member of the chain of command and the situation was handled.
I do not want to see that situation occur at this college. I have and continue to adore working with talented and intellegent educators here at _____.
I would be willing to discuss more with any one of you in person if you so deem so. Please note that these students concerns are legitamite as I have been witness to alot of the occurances.
Please do note, that each an everyone of the students are successfully capable of completeing this program successfully. It is my obligation as an educator to share with them my knowlege and instill in them, not only the skill set to enter this profession, but inspire the confidence that they will be able to handle any situation to their best ability that they come across in the world of the OR. They should be inspired in this progession to keep growing and continue their education. My hope for all my students, is that they are inspired to pass on their passion and knowledge to others in the community in the future and leave their mark.
