1. Submit one real-world application and the complete solution that each requires concepts in Calculus I in order to solve.
2. The real-world application and its solution or how it is applied must be shared and cited.
3. Use APA style to cite any references (websites, books, journals, etc…) that are used to inspire your problems (and/or solutions).
4. These real-world applications should be related to current events and should clearly demonstrate concepts in covered in our Calculus I.

Some additional information about the ‘Applied Project’ for Calculus I .
(1) It should be a word problem that clearly uses concepts we have covered in Calculus I.
(2) It should relate to a topic that either interests you or is related to your professional / career goal(s).
(3) The statement of the problem should not come from a textbook (eg, do not copy a word problem from a Calculus textbook).
(4) You can use a science, math, engineering, technology source (eg, article, science related textbook — just not a Calculus textbook, website, data, or other type of information to provide you with ideas for a topic. If you use other sources (beyond your own primary knowledge) you should cite these sources using a format such as APA (or your preferred citation format).
The goal of this project is to provide insight into the utility and beauty of Calculus in a variety of different areas. An approximate length of this project is 1-3 pages. The statement of the problem and solution might only be 1/2 – 1 page… Narrative around a brief background or description of how this applies to your interest, your field, your career, your goals etc… can be another 1/2-2 pages.
