My topic for the research is inclusion in the classroom/ behavioral needs of special education studetns. I have chosen qualitive research method.
For my study on inclusion in the classroom for students with disabilities (SWD), I’ve chosen a qualitative research method, specifically a case study design. This approach will allow me to closely examine real-life applications of inclusive practices in classroom settings. My participants will be a mix of general and special education teachers, as well as support staff. Data collection will include in-depth interviews conducted in person at the school to foster open dialogue, observations during actual lessons to capture authentic teaching strategies, and document analysis of lesson plans or individualized education programs (IEPs). I’ll reach out to participants via school administration and set interviews in a quiet, familiar environment at the school for comfort. The combination of these methods will provide a comprehensive view of how inclusion impacts teaching practices and student experiences.
