For this project, students will be using Peer-Reviewed journal articles to find current research that is being done on this topic. To find a peer-reviewed article:

*There are others that are acceptable.
1.) Choose a mental health diagnosis that is of interest to you.
3.) Find at least 3 Peer-Reviewed articles that pertain to the diagnosis you chose and “gut bacteria”.
4.) Read each article, highlighting important information, taking notes, and researching
terms or processes that are new to you.
5.) Create a new powerpoint presentation that summarizes the information that you learned. This must be in your own words. Do not use AI or something like ChatGPT to help you (you will receive a zero). You may not use a pre-made powerpoint already on the internet (also a zero). The presentation needs to have the following:
a.) Title page that includes your name
b.) at least 5 slides in length (not including the title page or the citation page)
c.) At least one picture that pertains to your topic on each slide
d.) One slide that describes the symptoms of the mental health diagnosis and current treatments
e.) 4 slides that contain a summary of the research you found (this research need to include
information such as certain bacteria that is shown to affect the diagnosis, HOW it affects the
brain (the mode of action – see me with questions), and possible treatments
to prevent the
bacteria from affecting the brain in this way OR to treat the gut to change the action affecting
the brain – see me with questions. DO NOT WRITE COMPLETE SENTENCES.
f.) One slide with citations (a link to each of your 3 (at least) peer-reviewed articles)
