Students will identify ONE process, procedure, or product in a healthcare setting and plan a
quality improvement or performance management plan. Students will be required to use the scientific
literature as well as grey literature to develop an understand of the chosen process, procedure, or
product in order to adequately develop their plan. Plans must highlight background information on the
process/procedure/product, the individuals they would include within their quality or performance
improvement team (along with their skills/expertise as justification for inclusion in the quality team),
important stakeholders who will have invested interest in the quality initiative, and key areas in which
the process/procedure/product may demonstrate failures (problem identification). Please use 12 size
font, Times New Roman, or Arial, and limit to 3 pages. Title page and references do not count towards
page count. * Students MUST reference any grey literature, including media, that is used to inform their
plan.
