Imagine Brita has asked you to come up with a new product idea to satisfy the need of
consumers. In your paper, answer the following questions:
1. Select a customer segment, and describe which of their need you are trying satisfy
– You may choose one from the segmentation study table, or a different group of people with a specific need
2. Describe your product idea, and explain how it can satisfy the need of the chosen customer segment
3. Draw a strategy canvas that includes: 1) current products/solutions available in the relevant market, and 2) an ideal value curve for your new product

4. Explain your new product’s value curve with the four actions framework (eliminate, reduce, create, raise)
– Consider all four to create a new value curve
5. Develop a positioning statement for your new product: “To (customer segment and its need), (brand/product) is (concept) that offers (point of difference)”
