1. In a Word document type the title of your final research paper (it could change based on the instructor’s comments).
2. In the first paragraph, present the background of your topic and attempt a research statement. You should formulate these clearly, giving an explanation as to what problems and issues are to be explored and why they are worth exploring.
3. In a second paragraph, briefly explain your research methodology. For example:
- the theoretical resources to be drawn on
- the research approach (theoretical framework)
- the research methods appropriate for the proposed research
4. Include a bibliography section, following the MLA format, in which you include:
- a list of references to key articles and texts discussed within your research proposal
- a selection of sources appropriate to the proposed research
- Note: There must be at least 5 references (book chapters, articles, essays, etc.
