This is a reflective assignment, it needs to focus on your developing self-awareness and practice acknowledge including your values which may benefit or hinder your practice.
The assessment needs to demonstrate your personal development, understanding and application of values, ethical perspectives and principles when working with diversity. The assignment needs to consider how you would utilise professional values and ethical perspectives in practice to aid you with these potential conflicts. You are advised to use examples of the learning activities which aided your understanding of your values and the ethical perspectives, plus the challenges this brought up for you. You can also use practice / group work / case study examples to help your reflections but ensure these are fully anonymised.
Please refer to the Social Work England (2019) Professional Standards in your assignment and you can include British Association of Social Workers (2021) Code of Ethics, linking these to how these should guide and inform your professional practice.
It is acceptable to write in the first person when reflecting on values and ethics. This module contributes significantly to meeting requirements for the Professional Capability Framework (PCF) Domains: 2 Values and Ethics, 3 Diversity and Equality 4 Rights and Justice. You do not need to mention these in your assignment directly these should be implicitly evidenced.
