relationship between architecture and the psychological concept of the uncanny, with a focus on the corridors and maze in Stanley Kubrick’s film The Shining

I attached a document with some instructions, the general structure of the essay, some input and crucial references.
The essay should be 5000 words the abstract around 300.

Hi,

The structure provided here serves as a guideline for you, in case you
notice that the order doesn’t make sense feel free to shift some parts around.

In blue are my comments that I added for you. In cursive are all the paragraphs I collected throughout my research
that could be helpful to write the essay, just make sure to not use them 1:1/if
there is a part you find important to include add it as a reference please/add
a note so I will add the correct reference.

It is
an academic essay and should follow the guidelines but is important to me that
it’s not bland and boring, you can use methods that make it more engaging and
fun.
– sensibility,
destabilizing the academic research paper, when reading speculating what comes
next, layering, overlapping, spatial and temporal layer in writing

The shining is the most important aspect of this essay, in particular the maze
like corridors and the maze. I am unsure if to include a paragraph about room
237, so I leave the decision to you if you feel like it adds value to the
discourse of the maze/corridor and the uncanny or if it is confusion and should
be left out.
