The specific topic is your choice as long as it is related to one or more of the course outcomes or learning objectives listed on the syllabus: the topic is: harmful effects of substance abuse / dependence on both a personal and interpersonal level.
The paper should include an introduction to the topic, a literature review, a discussion, and conclusion (these should be your headings in the body of the paper). The research paper should be submitted in correct APA (6th ed.) style, including a title page, abstract, and reference pages.
you can follow the generalized literature review. nothing has to be super specific but can use the lit review as a guideline.
