“Exploring the Impact of Evolving Professional Environments on the
Skills Needed by Accounting Graduates”

– Research Aim: To explore the impact of the
changing professional working environment on the needed skills and qualities
for current accounting graduates.

 – Research Questions:

1. What are the primary disruptions in
   the professional working environment currently affecting the accounting
   field?
2. What are the changing demands for
   the future of work as a result of disruptions in the professional working
   environment?
3. What specific skills and attributes
   are required by accounting and finance graduates to adapt to the changing
   demands of the future of work?
   – Research Objectives:
   1. To analyse the primary disruptions
      in the professional working environment affecting the accounting
      industry.
   2. To identify the changing demands
      for the future of work as a result of disruptions in the professional
      working environment.
   3. To identify the skills and
      attributes necessary for accounting and finance graduates to adapt to
      these changes.

      Research Design: Desk
      Review (Descriptive, Exploratory)

      Philosophy: Positivism

      Approach: Deductive

      Strategy: Secondary Data Analysis

      Time Horizon: Longitudinal

      Data Collection: Secondary data from journals,
      reports, research articles and published studies.

      Sampling: Purposive Sampling (relevant and credible
      sources within the last 5 years) – (Justifications given for using the specific, selective sampling)

      Data Analysis: Thematic Analysis (coding, identifying
      trends, and grouping into themes).
