Option 1: Professional Code of Ethics and Kantian Analysis
· Begin by indicating your intended area of study and desired vocation. For example, you might indicate that you are studying computer science with the goal of designing video games. Be as specific as possible.
· Locate an established Code of Ethics for that specific profession or industry; the professional governing body for that specific field often publishes such codes of ethics. For example, if you are studying engineering with the goal of becoming a mechanical engineer, the National Society of Professional Engineers provides a detailed code of ethics for that profession.
· Select three ethical principles (guidelines, mandates, etc.) from the code of ethics, discuss the ethical obligation that each entails, and discuss to what degree such an obligation would be consistent with Kantian morality.
Option 2: Professional Ethics Case Study Analysis
· Begin by indicating your intended area of study and desired vocation. For example, you might indicate that you are studying computer science with the goal of designing online games. Be as specific as possible.
· Briefly describe a specific ethical issue or dilemma that you may have to deal with in this profession. What ethical issues will you have to deal with that are specific to this vocation?
· Discuss how you would resolve this ethical dilemma or deal with this ethical issue.
Option 3: Ethics Case Study Analysis
· Begin by selecting a case study from one of the following sources:

· Provide a brief synopsis of no more than one-half page of the case study and the ethical issues.
· Apply the Kantian moral theory in the appropriate manner to resolve the ethical issue.
· Explain why you agree or disagree with the Kantian response.
Option 4: Moral Obligations
· Identify a specific moral obligation in each of the following areas:
o Obligation to oneself
o Obligation to other (specific) persons (individuals or groups; spouse, siblings, co-workers, friends, etc.)
o Obligation to humanity
· Explain what each of these obligations requires (what you must do) and why you believe you have such obligations.
