Municipality Solid Waste Management (MSWM) are big technical systems that include many components such as the environment, technologies, people, businesses, politics, education, research, and the sustainability of waste management systems. When these components are combined into a huge system, MSWM becomes a tremendously complex phenomenon. The proposed project is the revamping of the Sanitary Landfill Facility (SLF) in Barangay Tejero, San Luis, Batangas. The project’s construction was stopped following the death of the former mayor when the project was proposed. However, the project is not yet complete, but it continues to work to control and avoid pollution and other environmental issues in the community.
The “Revamping Waste Landscape: Developing Eco-Centric Enviro-Hub for Sustainable Waste Solution in San Luis, Batangas” project intends to centralize and streamline the sustainable waste management process. This hub will incorporate environmentally friendly practices and technologies, with a focus on waste reduction through recycling, reusing, and composting. This will serve as a paradigm for scalable, environmentally conscious waste solutions that improve environmental health and promote long-term sustainability.
