Also submit 1 1400-1600 self-analytical essay with assignments
Students will complete a Final Portfolio of Revisions in place of a final exam:
· Based on feedback from your peers and from me, you will revise two projects—a Category 1 and a Category 2—significantly. In other words, your revisions should involve more than simply editing or moving a few things around. In the event that you cannot identify ways your assignments could be made more effective for their original audience(s) and/or purpose(s) through significant revision, you should come speak with me about revising one or both of your assignments for a new audience and/or purpose.
· You will upload to this assignment in Canvas your significant Category 1 and 2 revisions.
In addition, you will complete a Self-Analytical Writing assignment that will also be uploaded to this assignment in Canvas.
For your Self Analytical writing please submit a 1400-to-1600 word letter, addressed to “Portfolio Reviewers,” that explains how the writing projects that you have included in the portfolio demonstrate your abilities in the categories of writing described on the English 2201 Portfolio Rubric. In your letter, you should provide specific examples of how your writing meets the criteria (for example, where did you use specific evidence to support your claim? Where and how did you direct your writing to a specific audience? etc.). In addition, your letter should address what aspects of your writing are effective and why you think they are effective? What do you think could be improved in your projects and how could it be improved? You should also briefly describe the process you used to write the projects. Do you think the process you used was effective?
As part of campus writing assessments, you will submit one major writing project, along with a description of the assignment for that project and thoughtful responses to four questions about your writing as part of this Writing Intensive course.
To submit your materials, you should attach the following files to this assignment: 1) a copy of the assignment instructions from Canvas/the syllabus, 2) the same self-reflection you submitted in the Canvas Portfolio, and 3) a copy of your final project submitted as a Word document..
