Select a quote/ passage from four seperate readings and analyze a certain theme.

Select any 1 concept from the list below and analyze its relationship to violence through a series of micro-interpretations: i.e. select a single quote and compose a single long paragraph of analysis for every reading/film that we have covered in the class up until that point (tracing how your particular chosen concept manifests and transforms across different texts). There does not need to be any connection between sections, with only point of consistency being the conceptual theme you have isolated.

Make certain to choose the most compelling moments that allow you to generate an original, striking argument as you unravel the threads of your particular concept. Also attempt varying typologies (avoid repeating the same generalizations or paradigms). This will showcase the intricate forms of violence that might exist at any given juncture (note: be highly specific, pay attention to descriptive details, and seek unique experiences and implications of violence from within the contexts of the stories).

These should be split into five single spaced pages. They do not have to relate to each other at all and should be treated like fove seperate on epage “essays”, the only thing that stays consistent is the theme.
The concepts you can choose from are Time, Space, Power, Sensation, Death or Pleasure.
