Self-Directed Learning Presentation and PowerPoint
The content of your presentation should address the following:
· Your Learning Self-Directed Learning (SDL) Contract and Project
· An explanation of the reasons why you decided on the projection and the process of how you fulfilled your SDL Contract, including evidence of your learning
· Reflection on how you might change or continue the process and on any shifts in your knowledge about self-directed learning or skills
Submit your presentation using PowerPoint (or similar platform) by the due date listed in the course schedule. When uploading, please make sure you allow access for all with the link, if applicable.
Guidelines for your self-directed learning presentation include:
· The PowerPoint presentation should not exceed 15 minutes (probably 8-10 slides).
· Give clear and complete explanations.
· Cite references using APA Guidelines (7th ed.) as appropriate in your presentation.
· PowerPoint slides should be clear and concise. A good rule of thumb is 6 x 6 (no more than 6 lines per slide, 6 words per line).
· The slides should be visually attractive and reflect the nature of the content.
· Graphics and other media (if used) should be relevant to the presentation (e.g., you may include links, photographs, and scanned items, anything to provide evidence of your learning). Remember that your computer may have the power to include complex materials (graphics, video, and sound), but receiving computers may not be able to handle them. Thus, avoid them.
· Ask a classmate or friend to proofread your work. Correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling are encouraged prior to submitting.
