As a healthcare administrator, particularly if you work in Risk Management, you will be involved in early identification of errors and other mishaps.You, the providers, legal counsel and the facility’s insurance carrier will be involved in trying to curtail the fallout and damage from these errors. 

Do you think healthcare providers should apologize for their mistakes?  Why or why not? If providers do intent to apologize for their mistakes, what sorts of institution or other supports might make doing so less difficult/upsetting and more fruitful for all involved?
