Firstly (roughly 1500 words) drawing on the material provided during lecturers and through the NOW room and with good evidence of wider reading you need to provide a detailed and critical understanding of one of the following:

- Developing resilience/creating healthy (supportive) workspaces
- Mentoring/coaching
- Social responsibility
- Project management skills
- Cultural competence
- Conflict management/negotiation
- Developing a personal brand
Then for the second half of your assignment (approximately a further 1500 words) discuss a specific public health role either drawing on relevant literature, experience or even a job you have seen advertised and have aspirations to do in the future and discuss critically the importance of the particular aspect of leadership you have discussed to being successful within that role. You can talk about this in relatively general terms but you will need to understand at least hypothetically some of the challenges of leading within the given context in order to critically discuss the importance of the particular characteristic, behaviour or skill. You can draw on case studies or wider literature exploring work within the public health sector and the wide variety of challenges that exist. You are expected to show a critical application of the more theoretical discussion developed within the first half of your assignment
