Short Answer/Essay Questions
Every week, you’ll have the opportunity to explore and reflect on key concepts through a brief essay, ranging from 300 to 500 words—essentially, a half to a full page. This format is designed to encourage concise and focused expression of your understanding.
These essays are crucial for me to gauge your grasp of the material, and you’ll submit them via the Turnitin feature on Canvas. It’s a chance for you to articulate your thoughts in your own unique voice. To maintain the essence of originality, I encourage you to rely on your own interpretations rather than direct quotes. If you do choose to include a quote from our textbook, please limit it to one sentence. Given the succinct nature of these essays, your own analysis and perspective are what truly matter.
Furthermore, it’s important to pay attention to the originality score provided by Turnitin. A score up to 20% is within the acceptable range, but a score between 20-40% will prompt a closer review. An originality score above 50% may, unfortunately, result in an ‘F’ for that assignment. These guidelines are in place to ensure the integrity and individuality of your work.
This is a wonderful chance to showcase your understanding and to engage deeply with our course content. I’m here to support you in this journey, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need clarification on any topic. Let’s make the most of this learning experience together!
