Context:
In this course, you will research/write four papers dealing with a formal Human Resources (HR) formal sponsored Telecommuting work arrangement program. The purpose of these papers is to demonstrate you knowledge of key course concepts by applying them to a real life situation.
Directions:
You are expected to research each topic thoroughly.
Use the course textbook as one source for your paper and an additional 2 journal articles. You may use websites, but that would be in addition to the journals you are using. Please Note: Use of other student work, regardless of how it is accessed and/or AI, regardless of how it is used, is a violation of the University Academic Integrity Policy. If you need to review this policy, check your course syllabus for the proper link.

Paper Requirements

Use APA Style.

APA Style includes appropriate paragraph lengths, paper formatting, correct use of in text citations, separate reference page, proper grammar, spelling and double space with 12 point font. Paragraph form requires 3-5 sentences per paragraph.

Assignment Details:
This semester, you will be preparing four papers that cover the topic of telecommuting, also known as remote work or work from home, while integrating concepts pertaining to organizational behavior. To begin, imagine yourself as an outside consultant or an internal manager who is presenting the business case for a new telecommuting program.
•The papers ask you to provide research and advice to help an imaginary company (or one that does not have any telecommuting programs) make the best decision for designing a new program.
•You can draw from real world companies to give as support or reference, however this is not an analysis or summary of what a real-world company has already done. You are being asked to create and provide expertise related to a new program.
PAPER TWO
1. Introduction (Explain what you will cover in this paper.)
2. Social and Career Considerations
o Social and Career Issues
What are potential challenges for the individual working remotely related to motivation, relationship building, professional development, and advancement.
o Provide examples.
o Social and Career Solutions
o Research experts in this area to provide evidence-based management strategies to overcome the issues. Quote and cite sources when needed.
o Address each of the social and career issues in Point 2.
3. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace
Diversity Issues: How can diversity, equity and inclusion be impacted in the workplace? Consider surface-level and deep-level diversity. How can biases and stereotypes be helpful or harmful?
o Provide examples.
Diversity Solutions:
What strategies can managers use to bring out the best aspects of diversity and reduce the harmful effects of biases and stereotypes?
o Address each of the social and diversity, equity and inclusion issues in Point 3.
