Each student is expected to write a 1000-word (Times New Roman Font, Size 12) research paper on how sociology deconstructs their understanding of what is considered a personal problem. You may use a social phenomenon that might appear to be a personal issue, but it is socially created. You will ask, how do history, biography and environment explain the personal problem in Canadian society? In addition, you are expected to find 5 peer-reviewed journal articles that relate to your paper. The 5 articles will help you understand the social construction of what is considered to be personal problem. Please use APA to format your paper and bibliography.
You are expected to submit your assignment via D2L assignment by 11:59 pm on Nov. 18. There is more information in your syllabus regarding academic dishonesty, but any form of plagiarism and academic dishonesty will not be tolerated.

STYLE: Check for the student’s proper grammar and punctuation. Is their writing intelligible and coherent? – 3 Marks
