Answer the topic ( Spanx) above in an essay with a 1500 word minimum.

does not count towards your word count. On the last page of your paper please create a works cited page an alphabetical list of the sources

Additional Tips for Writing a History Essay.

necessary because . . .”
5. When exploring a book, start at the back in the “Index” and look for an entry on your
topic.
6. Remember to discuss only one idea per paragraph. In that paragraph, you need to support
your claim with evidence. Show me (prove it), don’t simply tell me.
7. Use quotes, but use them sparingly from secondary sources, not just to fill up space. A
quote should explain something, or capture its tone or style, better than you could
yourself. 8. You should use primary sources as the primary means of support for their argument.
