This assignment addresses learning outcomes including:

Using concepts from the course readings, address each of
the following criteria in a minimum of a four-page written analysis.

Choose any business.
·
Define the key
macro-environmental factors that impact the business.
·
Determine the competitors
for the business.
·
Explain how suppliers
might impact the business.
·
Explain how buyers might
impact the business.
·
Complete a SWOT Analysis
for the business.
·
Describe possible factors
that might impact the potential for the business to fail.
·
Develop possible
strategies including SMART goals that the Business might implement towards
overcoming the factors that could potentially lead to the Business’s failure.
The purpose of the paper is to research a business, along
with micro- and macro- environmental factors that impact the business, and then
develop strategic goals that might assist towards overcoming the factors that
could potentially impact the success of the business.
Assignment Guidelines
Please research and address the following topics in your
research paper:

Introduction
– what your paper will be about and how the information will be obtained.
·
Discuss
background of the business.
·
Discuss
key macro-environmental factors that impact the chosen business.
·
Thoroughly
describe the competitors of the business (this should include more than a list
of competitors – it should focus on the areas of business in which the other
businesses potentially compete with the chosen business).
·
Discuss
how the suppliers of the business might impact the chosen business.
·
Discuss
how the buyers of the business might impact the chosen business.
·
Complete
a SWOT Analysis for the business.
·
Develop
possible management strategies, including SMART goals, that the Business might
implement towards overcoming the factors that could potentially lead to the
Business’s failure.
·
Conclusion
– include an overview of what your paper emphasized. Continuing to write in
third person, and based on your research of the macro- and micro- environmental
factors that impact the business, also include your analysis of the possible
success (or failure) of the chosen business.
Assignment Instructions
Please review the Rubric for additional information
regarding grading criteria. Grading will be based on content, format, and
demonstration of weekly reading assignments, learning objectives, and outside
research. Direct quotes are not permitted.

A
minimum of 4 full pages addressing each of the components above, but not including the title page and
reference page.
·
A minimum of 4 peer-reviewed,
scholarly sources (not including the textbook) from the FSW library
databases must be cited in the text of the paper.
·
Each page should include a
minimum of three scholarly sources of support.
·
Each scholarly source
should be cited within the paper a minimum of two times.
·
The website for the
business can be used as a source, but will not be considered one of the 4
required, peer-reviewed, scholarly sources. Business websites are also not
considered scholarly sources and should not be counted in the minimum support
per page.
·

a source.

Do not use any internet
source (except the business websites).
·
Do not use direct
quotes. Be sure to paraphrase. Do not copy and paste. The FSW

Use APA to properly cite
all sources.

Make sure your paper
begins with a Level One Heading: Introduction (Do not confuse an
Introduction with an Abstract). (An Abstract is not required for the paper).
o
Include a properly
formatted APA cover sheet.
o
Include a properly
formatted APA reference page.
o
Use 12 point Times New
Roman font.
o
Double-space the entire
paper.
o
Accurate In-text citations
must be included.
o
APA documentation and
formatting style used appropriately (including in-text citations, reference
entries, and format).

A thorough analysis of the
topic in relation to management, leadership, and course learning outcomes.
·
Spelling, grammar, and
writing style
·
Write in the third person
– such as, “This researcher…”, “This student…”, Do not use “I”, “we”,
“our”, “you”, or any other forms of indefinite you.
·
Avoid bullet points.
·
Submit your own original
work. Do not submit work previously submitted to any course – including your
own work, that of other students, or any work that is purchased or traded from
the online cheating sites, such as coursehero. The use of AI-generative programs
is not permitted for any assignment in the course and will be considered
cheating.
·
Be sure to review your
assignment after submitting it in Canvas in the assignment link. Submitting an
assignment that cannot be viewed, or submitting the wrong file do not
constitute valid excuses for re-submitting after the due date.
