Students develop and write a strategic plan that addresses a relevant human resource issue (examples – absenteeism, recruitment, retention, training, etc.) Using their own management situations, students analyze at least one way to partner with HR managers to enhance strategic initiatives and goals for the organization or your department. The analysis should include
- a brief organizational background,
- description of the management situation and its complexity that necessitate stronger strategic HR,
- the plan with goals expected as outcome and a benefit analysis, and
- an implementation timeline.
The analysis must reflect concepts from the course and citations from the textbook(Noe, R., Hollenbeck, J., Gerhart, B. & Wright, P. (2020).Fundamentals of human resource management
(8th ed.). It must also include four outside research sources (not company handbooks, or the textbook as one of the four sources. Students may use these sources in addition to academically sound journals or articles. (Citations required in an appendix.). The paper must be at least 5-6 pages in length and use proper APA format.
