Assessment Description
For this assignment, you will interview a person from a
diverse population in order to gain understanding about a person different than
yourself.
Examples of diverse populations:
- Sexual
orientation - Race
- Religion
- Gender
- Disability
In your interview, be sure to include engagement strategies
for dealing with diverse clients and personal biases. Provide a written transcript of the interview.
Submit the transcript of the interview along with a summary
(300 words) that explains how social workers should use the NASW Code of Ethics
with decision-making regarding diverse populations. Also explain how you would
handle your personal biases (with cultural competency) if the interviewee were
your client.
While APA style is not required for the body of this
