Assignment: You are to consider a real-life decision you are
about to make or have made in your life. Clearly spell out what the decision is
and what is at stake. You are then to research your topic using 2 credible
sources. Make a decision based on your research, and explain why you made the
choice you did.
Format: Your paper must be written in APA format,
double-spaced, 12 pt font, and have a cover page. It is to be one and a half to
2 pages in length. You are to clearly cite your sources and have a reference
page.
The topic I have chosen is the decision to attend Sumner College’s
RN BSN program over Chemeketa Community College’s LPN to ASN RN Program.
-Some personal key reasons: I have post-9/11 GI bill funding that is paying for my education, and although summer college’s RN BSN program is very expensive, I will not be paying out of pocket for the program.
I would have had to re-take multiple prerequisites at Chemeketa before I could apply to the LPN to RN Program as my courses were more than 10 years old, and there may not have been an opening available that year.
