Directions from Instructor: Students will complete a critical research paper of 4-6 pages in length based on a work of literature we study during the course of the term. This paper will require a thorough integration of at least 4-6 scholarly, secondary sources with an insightful, original interpretation of the primary work examined. As with all other assignments, you will receive a specific prompt that details the guidelines for the paper and a rubric that stipulates how your work will be assessed.
*Please note that the Norton Anthology of World Literature is a required textbook, and it should be used for the citation of primary works in every instance possible. If you select a work to examine for your research paper that is not included in the required edition of the anthology for this course, you will need to appropriately cite it to note the origins of the material.
