the exploration of drug use in colleges. This can include cocaine, LSD, Adderall and how these students use these drugs and what affects it can have on their studies and their social lives?

Part of the joy of college is the ability to be creative, think outside the box, and synthesize knowledge in new and exciting ways. Therefore, I’d like for you all to submit a creative project that in some way relates to one or more of the topics covered. The form that this project takes is completely up to you—it could be a recorded presentation, a research paper/research brief (5-10 pages), an infographic (3-4 pages long), a letter to the editor with sources (3,000 – 5000 words). Whatever you submit has to be equal in information thus a 5 – 10 page research paper condensed, is roughly 3-4 pages of an infographic, and an op-ed/letter to the editor of 3,000 – 5000 words is about the same equivalency. I have uploaded examples of an infographic, two research briefs, and a list of sites titled “Alternatives to Power Point” which you may use (you may also use power point if you choose). A rubric with more assignment details is also located online. This project must be in your own words, and should cite 3-5 sociological sources that are scholarly (either from academic journals, books written and published by academic presses, or other high quality sources). Failure to include scholarly peer reviewed sources will result in a D—only projects that also include sociologial source will receive an A.
