Instructions:
For this assignment, you will be revising and adding to the Essay 2 assignment. Your final draft of Essay 3 should show extensive revision and additions to the argument you present in your Essay 2 argumentative research paper.
- The introduction will present the subject and will include your thesis statement (the claim you intend to support). Remember, this is an argumentative essay, so your thesis should make an arguable claim.
- The body of the essay will summarize and respond to opposing views as well as present reasons and evidence (from at least 6 outside sources) in support of your own position. Try to end your essay with your strongest arguments.
- The conclusion will restate your thesis and provide a sense of closure.
Evaluation Criteria:
-Does the essay follow the instructions in the prompt?
-Does the essay have a clear thesis statement?
-Does the essay correctly cite outside sources?
-Does the essay use at least 6 outside sources?
-Does each body paragraph have a topic sentence where needed?
-Is the essay organized in a clear, logical manner?
-Is the essay free of major grammatical errors and typos?
