Advice for Each Section:
Your research question must be specific and focused on a global issue.
Use subheadings for each section: Introduction, Global Perspective, National Perspective, Comparison, Course of Action, Source Evaluation, Conclusion, Bibliography.
The introduction should give an overview of what your report is going to investigate, expanding on and defining your research question.
All information paraphrased or quoted in your report must have an in-text citation (Author’s Name or organisation if no author, Year) placed at the end of the sentence.
Use a range of linking words and phrases to connect paragraphs and ideas.
In the Global perspectives section, you need to choose 3 global organisations, such as UNICEF, and analyse the causes and consequences of your chosen issue. You must also explain why the issue is global in nature – how does it affect the whole world to some extent?
In the National perspectives section, you need to choose 3 organisations that talk about the issue in Vietnam, explaining the causes and consequences of your chosen issue. Explain how the issue is specifically affecting Vietnam (or your chosen country)
In the Comparison (different perspectives) section, you should compare and contrast the similarities and differences between the issue globally and in Vietnam (or your chosen country).
The course of action must be one detailed, realistic plan on a National or local level (Vietnam or the country you chose for your National Perspective) that will likely improve the situation. Justify your idea – have similar plans worked in other countries? How might you need to adapt them for Vietnam or your local area?
In the source evaluation, you don’t need to write the full reference. Choose 2-3 sources, one paragraph for each, and say how credible and reliable they are. Give reasons for your answer and say why some may contain bias.
Your conclusion must be a sentence or two to summarise your report and a detailed reflection of your personal perspective and how it’s changed, referring to specific parts of your research that have made you change your perspective.
Your word count, excluding bibliography, must be between 800 and 1000 words.
You must use APA referencing for your bibliography (see LMS).
