The purpose of this paper is to present a coherent thesis exploring some aspect of the effects of new media on various audiences. You might, for example, explore the role of new media in terrorist recruitment; the effects of social media on social movements, such as the #Blacklivesmatter movement; the effects of internet video gaming; the response to COVID-19; the uses of social media in advertising; how social media use affects politics, etc. (For purposes of this assignment, television is NOT regarded as one of the new media.)
The paper should be 4 to 6 pages in length and should have AT LEAST four scholarly sources. It should be typewritten, conform to APA (or MLA) style, and contain a bibliography of the sources cited. An abstract and title page are not required. Please note that one of the excellent databases available through the library is Communication and Mass Media Complete.
