Overview
Having sketched
out a sermon series in the previous assignment, students are now given the
opportunity to explore and dig deep into one of those topics by researching how
it specifically integrates with the doctrine of the resurrection. In so doing,
students are to examine the biblical and theological data in support of the
topic. Moreover, they are to provide specific principles on how the topic
integrates with the doctrine of the resurrection. This assignment prepares
students to develop a biblical and theological framework for the topic under
consideration for a future communication of the topic in this class and as they
present this material in future ministry applications.
Instructions
Working from one
of the topics on your Sermon Series lesson plan (e.g., the Christian worldview,
God’s existence, the gospel, eternal life/heaven, authority and truthfulness of
Scripture, spiritual formation, spiritual disciplines, evangelism, and doubt),
write a research paper that places emphasis on the integration of the topic
chosen with the resurrection.

– Sources should be scholarly and up to date (within 5-10 years) and should
