The role childhood trauma and neglect plays in a students barrier to independent learning and acedemic curiosity

I am looking to create a thesis templet on how childhood trauma, neglect or unresolved emotional issues can lead to mental disorders and emotional distress. my thesis would look to explore my students in the past and present (35 per year) on how their behavior differ during the college application process. how the goals and confidence levels differ. how the problem solving process differ. how they view their future. I am looking to resolve emotional roadblocks through open communication, validation of student thought and ethics in order to bolster student self awareness. I like to see how this process of emotional support helps a student more so than just sat and research goal setting in the process. at the end I like to come back to the purpose of education. which should to produce productive members of community and not just be score based
