This project will focus on the creation of a status report on a specific issue and its impact on contemporary
intercollegiate athletics, and the presentation of this information to the instructor and your classmates in the
form of a debate supporting a specific side of this issue. The project will afford you the opportunity to explain
and give examples of the various management principles and challenges related to contemporary intercollegiate
athletics, to apply and use effective oral and written communication skills that incorporate the vocabulary and
themes important to the management of intercollegiate athletics, to apply and use research skills for collecting
data and information of importance for understanding the management of intercollegiate athletics, to work with
your classmates to produce this knowledge, and to present your findings so they may used as the basis of a
debate concerning the issue.
