This political reflection assignment is to allow you to assess the strengths and challenges of the formation of the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Constitution started with the Preamble, “We the People…” and that follows with the political institutions that are charged with the implementation of the Preamble. Article I created Congress and its powers; Article II the Presidency; Article III the Supreme Court.
Of the three branches of our government, which one has been most effective in carrying out the values we had stated in the Preamble?
1. How is it doing on justice?
2. How is it doing on domestic tranquility?
3. Provide for the common defense.
4. Promote the general welfare.
