I am utilising a recipe box scheme that is low cost (5 british pounds) and nutritious to help ease the cost of living crisis and food/nutrition insecurity amongst university students. Three groups of
students were studied: students on the university’s hardship fund, students from a local charity, and
first year dietetics and nutrition students. The latter two groups participated in a cooking class using the recipe box scheme, whilst the students on hardship fund took the box home to prepare the
recipe at home. Voluntary surveys were provided. The first excel file (JSHU_hardship_fund) contains survey results of students on the hardship fund. The second excel file combines the latter two
student groups’ survery results (charity group and dietetics/nutrition students): the first ten
respondents (1-10) represent the charity group, whilst the remaining respondents (11-35) represent
the university students.
