attached is the outline for my argumentive essay
you will research and draft your argumentative final. Using the UAM library website databases/librarians and Google Scholar (scholar.google.com), conduct thorough research using credible sources like academic journals, reputable news outlets, and authoritative books.
Use your outline from last week to guide you! As you research, identify key arguments and counterarguments, taking note of supporting evidence such as statistics, expert opinions, and relevant examples. Organize this information logically, building a strong foundation for your essay. Construct a clear thesis statement that concisely presents your main argument. Develop each body paragraph with a topic sentence, supporting evidence, analysis, and a concluding sentence that reinforces the main point. Remember to address potential counterarguments and refute them with sound reasoning and evidence.
Use PurdueOWL (link below) if you need a refresher on MLA works cited and in-text citations. Remember not to drop source material (either quoting, paraphrasing, or summarizing) without introduction and explanation, and don’t forget to cite!
