This assessment target ELOs 400-SMC-1012.13 (J107: Multinational Capabilities and Considerations)

This journal entry should be between 550 and 750 words. Identify three (3) enabling learning objectives (ELOs) from the module and reflect upon its concepts and theories. Furthermore, utilize the three (3) ELOs and discuss your major takeaways from each and expound upon how you can utilize this newly gained knowledge and develop members of your organization for mission success. The 1009J rubric will be the tool utilized to assess your performance. During this portion of DJIIMO you had an opportunity to analyze the relevance, importance, and nuances of multinational operations. Through this analysis you looked at the tenets and considerations in planning and executing military operations with coalition partners and the general characteristics of multinational organizations, functions, and command structures.

As a result of this analysis you should have developed a better appreciation for the multinational dimension at the strategic and operational levels of war. As you progress in various military assignments and operations you will develop a better appreciation for the issues and challenges surrounding the planning and conduct of multinational operations at the strategic and operational level.

Assignment Instructions: Analyze the concepts and theories you read about in J107; utilizing key language and terms from these concepts and theories, write a 550-750 word substantive journal entry describing the JIIM Roles (J100) and the importance of multinational considerations (J107) to identify alliances relevant to the United States’ use of military power in the contemporary operating environment. This analysis of multinational operations typically address national interests and partnerships, intergovernmental organizations, alliances and coalitions.

J103: U.S. Space Operations: Forces, Fundamentals, Capabilities, and Limitations (ELO-400-SMC-1012.09.2)

Scope: This ELO will introduce a critical dimension of the strategic and operational environments military space operations. This introduction to U.S. space operation’s strategic considerations and the various missions carried out by U.S. space forces, focused on those critical capabilities derived from space systems and the military space professionals and organizations that assist planners at the operational level in leveraging those capabilities.  The intent is to reinforce the importance that space systems play in providing many of the critical warfighting capabilities the U.S. military employs in order to succeed across the range of military operations and within large-scale combat operations.
