This week you will prepare a situational motivation proposal. A proposal is designed to allow you to present, justify, and analyze your ideas.

There are many times in the workplace where you will have to justify your ideas and why you think that a project should be undertaken.

It is important to understand how to explain your ideas to demonstrate the thinking behind them and provide a cohesive plan to initiate the project.
This week you will prepare a situational motivation proposal. A proposal is designed to allow you to present, justify, and analyze your ideas. It should include an analysis of the impact of situational motivation on the human behavior of your employees, as well as practical aspects of how your motivational project should work.
Proposals need to include literature reviews, so you will need to make sure that you include information from at least 2 peer-reviewed journal articles in your assignment. Proposals also include information about outcomes and benefits from the project/study.
Imagine you are a manager who wants to increase your employees’ level of situational motivation. You have been asked to prepare a situational motivation proposal to present to your general manager on this issue.
Remember that situational motivation refers to the motivation individuals experience when they are currently engaging in an activity, and it results in the behavior of those individuals.
Write a 1,050-1,400-word situational motivation proposal. The proposal must contain the following information:
* What behavior do you seek to accomplish for your employees?
* What issues currently exist with employee behaviors?
* What employee behavior would you like to change?
* What role does situational motivation play in achieving this behavioral change?
* What is your objective to increase their level of situational motivation?
* Be clear and succinct in defining the issue and what it is you are proposing to do for the employees.
* Why do you want to change employee behavior?
* In addition to providing information about the project, you also must conduct a thorough review of the literature and provide convincing evidence that it is a worthwhile project.
* What does the literature say about the importance of increasing situational motivation to improve employee behavior?
* Include at least 1 motivational theory to support your proposed employee behavior change.
* Analyze how implementation of this situational motivation theory would impact employee engagement. (This is the best place to include information from journal articles—note that the ERR has some great sources that you can use for this.)
* How are you going to implement your planned employee behavior change?
* What actions will you take to accomplish your plan?
* Provide specific steps that you will take to help employees.
* Make sure that what you propose is realistic and is something that could actually happen in a work setting.
