Three Pronged Approach WASH Intervention in Eastern Highlands Province Papau New Guinea

Write a methods paper detailing the implementation of a three-pronged intervention in the Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea:

– liming to reduce acidity in tailing disposal at Kainantu mine
– phytoremidiation
– community standpipes for each compound
  • A description of methods for demonstrating precision (where applicable)
  • A description of community partnerships (UNICEF, World Bank, local organizations in PNG)
  • Include 2-3 sentences about how each method will be maintained
  • Be sure to write in lean/concise, heavily-cited sentences—no extra words or filler phrases or sentences.
  • Use your favorite scientific journal articles as a guide; try to match the tone, style, and precision of their sentences.
  • If it helps, ask yourself, “Do I really need this word or phrase to convey this point?” If not, delete it!
  • Use active instead of passive case—this is encouraged by EOH journals—e.g., it is OK to say “Following Smith et al. (2017), we will….” Note that while using “we” is encouraged, using “I” almost never is, so do not do it—public health research is a team effort!
